Opinions on Cobra XRS 9340 12-Band Radar/Laser Detector?

My husband has mentioned interest in a radar detector so I thought it would be a good Christmas gift. I went into Radio Shack today to see what they had and found the Cobra XRS 9340 12-Band Radar/Laser Detector on clearance for $79.99 (original price


Only three really good brands exist in the world of radar detectors ... they are BEL, Escort and Valentine One. Cobra is one of those middle-of-the-road brand radar detectors. It'll do the job but it's not worthy of such a high recommendation.

Radar Detector HELP!! Cobra XRS 9340?

I bought this radar detector two days ago and i threw the owners manual away like something stupid... but anyways, i went on their website trying to figure out how to do this with now luck.. here is what i want:

In my opinion, I think you should save more money and get a Valentine One. It's worth it. Whistler is hit or miss.

cobra rader/laser detector?

i have a cobra rador detector XRS 9340
i wanted to know what is distance range that it can detect police raders.

That Model, can pick up from a pretty far distances. Depending on weather.. approximately .5- 2 miles

Cobra Radar question?

So i want to get radar for my car

I really dont want to spend more then 100$ so i found the XRS 9340 and thought it looked pretty good

I just want it so i can slow down when there are police cars near

To be completely honestly, if you arn't going to spend the $300 it takes to get a good radar detectors, don't waste your money on a cheap one. They usually have very poorly made false alarm circuits, so they are constantly going off in town every time

Cobra XRS 9340 Review

This Cobra Radar detector is for those that dont for all those spare bells and whistles.  It offeres 360 radar detection for all around immunity.  It does get some untrue readings but that you will find will finish with almost any radar detector.  I find that there are not too many faulty readings that I get but when the leisure does happen and it keeps beeping it offers a smart deaden button on top to quiet that wide awake.  The form is slick and lightweight and the suction cup shape is upstanding.  I have not had any problems with the radar detector falling off my windshield at this tip and i have been using it for about a month.  I saw this at goal and figured why not give it a try, it was on interval for around $50-60, continuous around $100.  If you every now make tracks or like to recollect where the po-po's are at, get one of these, they are importance it for the worth.
